I like the premise, and I liked that Sue Grafton didn't compromise her characters. She seems like a very honest writer. The mystery slowed toward the middle, and I didn't like the sex scenes which seemed forced - not in a graphic way, but just as a plot device to make you feel sorrier for the characters in the end. Oh well, I'll give the next one a shot.
