I think they are marking this book incorrectly. I swear there was so much politics in this book, which ends up working in favour of it. I enjoyed this book soooo much. I cannot wait for the second book in the series!!! I need more of every character!!!

I really enjoyed this book!! Maybe even more than the first book!!! I feel the author went into more detail about the characters back stories in this book. The mystery store line was definitely much more involved within the story then the last book, which was one of my complaints on the last book.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a great smalltown cozy romance that is perfect for fall! The mystery part of this story wasn't the best. I was expecting more then what the book ended up having, it seemed to be a romance with a small bit of mystery. I still enjoyed the book but it just seems like it would mislead people some into reading a book they wouldn't like.

I did enjoy this book. I do feel like it was a bit slow at some points, which is why it took me so long to read. I maybe would have rated it higher if Oliver’s personal issues were addressed. I completely understand why Luc’s issues were the main concern, as he is the main narrator but I feel Oliver’s were just thrown in at the end. Other then that I had a pretty good time reading the book!

I will now be reading every single book Walthers has ever put out. I LOVED this book!!!! I love the whole heist aspect of the story. I will say they didn't do the best job at it, every single clue they hide they almost get caught minimum once and sometimes even more then that. I know this school is supposed to be a posh "fancy" school but that punishment was way too harsh. You only get one prom, one senior, and one graduation. They get all of that taken from them for ...... breaking curfew??? Lily is the definition of a perfect student and still got that all taken from her in the end. It just felt a bit excessive but honestly? I could see that happening at a school like this.

There is a medical emergency on page as well as off page. It does go into quite a lot of detail into each one
Was taking too long to get the point and I wasn’t getting invested into the story

This is a wonderful childhood sweethearts story that shows the messy side a relationship can take.
I knew this book was going to be messy going into it but oh my gosh they weren’t kidding. It did take me a while to get into the book but after it started picking up I finished it quickly. The side characters were awesome at some points but I did end up disagreeing with a lot of the choices each character makes. It was really hard to want the main characters to work it out together because it’s seems like they both have a thing for self sabotage? I will say it was very refreshing to read a book where the characters weren’t all perfect.

Suicide attempt is not on the page, it is just talked about between two characters
Got to 27%……. I really wanted to like this book. The over use of the word ‘demure’ was crazy. Even if the TikTok trend didn’t happen it still would have turned me off of the book. Especially when the fmc is supposed to be this very strong woman. I feel like the fact that the fmc needed to keep up her “image” was being referenced like every other page? It was getting a bit annoying. I was going to try to push through the book more but it just felt unfair to the author and the book itself. Hopefully I can find someone who will truly enjoy this to give the book to.
