After all of the hype surrounding this book, I finally took a chance and read it. I will have to admit, I had a hard time seeing past the adult to child relationship that in my opinion was NOT beautiful, but rather disturbing. I can appreciate others opinions and I can appreciate that this book made me very uncomfortable. I just personally can't say this was my favorite book even with the controversy.

Late to the party

I tried to read this book like 3 times and could never get into it. I would borrow from the library and read one or two pages and then would start another book and then the library loan ended. But not this time....I was determined to read it. It was a beautiful story. I love the way the author tells the story, her words, the narrative...I'm so happy I read it this time and look foretold reading more from her in the future.
