Too much drama, not enough connection between the characters.

I didn't really know what to expect going into this, but it was brilliant and I can't wait to read the sequel.
My only complaint (which the sequel might resolve?) is that I wish we knew what happened to Gideon.

I started reading this and then realized I’d read it before in 2017…and honestly, loved it even more than the first time.

WOW. I’d read the description, but that doesn’t even begin to do justice to how powerful this book is. The nuance around good and evil, and bringing what’s unseen and unknown into the light and how hard that can be, how much easier it is to want to live in denial… It’s hard not to deeply feel all of Jam’s emotions when reading this.

This will for sure be one of my favorite romances—probably one of my overall favorite reads—of the year. Just perfection.
