I liked the concept and the idea behind this novel but I found that at some points the concept was not as thought out as it could be. I especially liked the parts of how much animals cost in this world and why having one is so important for people in this world.

I was quite intimidated before going into this book because of the language within the book but I could understand it better with each page that passed. However, I still had quite a hard time understanding some of the plot points but I liked the novel overall.

This book felt like a fever dream for me and I was not a huge fan of it.

I really like reading the book but in this case I have to say I liked the movie better.
This could have something to do with the fact that I have watched the movie countless times before finally reading the book.

Reread July 2020:
I probably loved this poetry collection more this time around than for my first read. I am again amazed by how Gianna captures King's tone throughout all of these poems and how one knows exactly about whom he is talking. My favorites have not changed but I am guessing that with every reread more of them will become all-time favorites.

Original Read:
I loved this companion novel. It is so great to get an insight into King's and Cress's feelings and their love for one another but at the same time, it also highlights how strong one can be. I cannot get over the fact, how perfect these poems where and I am usually not a huge poetry fan.

I liked the last installment in the Love series. It was really interesting to see how Tomas reacts to Neily's approach to life and how I always try to make her feel safe and settled in her life.

I liked this novella and how Wolf tried to give Mackenzie space while still keeping an eye on her.

I found this novella really good and I loved the chemistry between Leo and Ro and how tries to protect her. I found some parts quite rushed but overall really enjoyed it.

I was a huge fan of this novel and I liked how Penelope and Colden got together. I think the novella established very good what kind of a person Colden is before he meets and how that changed after meeting her.
