I really liked the plotline of this and all the twists and turns within it. The chemistry between Amaya and Cayo was there from the beginning and I liked how it evolves and changes. All of the water bugs were amazing and my heart definitely broke for them. My absolute favorite character was Cayo because he loves his sister so much that he changed his life for her and will do everything to save her life.

Overall I thought it was a fantastic story and I cannot wait to read the sequel.

I really liked the second installment in the series but I did not like it as much as I did the first one. I still love the characters and the world-building but somehow it did not vibe with me as much as with the first one.

I liked the story and was surprised by the mixed media elements present. I am not the hugest fan of thrillers but with this one, it helped that I already knew the story. I liked how it is very hard to pinpoint who is ultimately responsible for what happens and how everybody was part of it.

I really liked the second installment in the series but it did not quite reach the first one. The characters were still amazing and I loved that we see them develop and how they deal with the aftermath of what happened in the first book. I found the pacing quite weird because it felt a bit slow until about the 60% mark when the tournament starts. Therefore I enjoyed the second half more than the first half but I cannot wait to read the conclusion of this series.

I really liked the discussion about what makes a family and how is a family made up however the rest of the book fell a bit flat for me. I knew before going in, that it is quite character-driven but at some point, it was just a bit to slow for me.

I really liked this boss/employee romance and that Lucius would do anything for Elise. I liked the chemistry between the characters and how the male character does not only take care of his love interest but also of her family.

I was not really a huge fan of the novel. I never connected to any of the characters and I found that there was no character depth and growth there.

I really liked this novel and how Easton always calls her Cutie. I liked how Easton tried to please Scout and changes his ways for her while still staying true to himself.

I liked this novel but a lot the issues could have been solved if the they would have just talked to each other, so I was annoyed quite a bit by that.

I really liked this novel and found the passing of it really interesting as it kept the reader guessing until the end and showed flashbacks in a great way. I liked both the main characters but the side characters are even more intriguing to me.
