I liked the concept of the story but the narration just fell flat for me. There were passages that could have been shorted immensely and plot points that were just thrown in to create drama but it was never followed through. Furthermore, the time concept in this book was off and things happened 2 weeks ago and then it somehow was yesterday.
I loved to get a Malec story. It was such a fun and interesting story and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I really loved this book because it shows a different aspect of the Shadowhunter world and gives you a glimpse into what other authors think about this world.
I was not the hugest fan of this story and quite a lot of it dragged quite a bit for me. I was not a huge fan of the characters and the writing either. I was taken out of the story quite often through the repetition of certain words and phrases but the world was still interesting and as the plot picked up at the end, so I will probably pick up the second one at some point.
I loved the illustrations in this encyclopedia and how it gives a short overview over the Greek gods and other mythology from Greece. It is a wonderful introduction into the world.
I loved the start of this series. It was such an interesting world and the magic system is really intriguing. I am really looking forward to reading the next installments in the series.
This was a quick nice read and it was good for what it was. I liked the characters and their chemistry but sometimes the timing was a bit off throughout the novel.
This was a very painful and important read. I learned a lot of things which are not taught in German schools and I will definitely educate myself further on this subject.
I loved to be back in the world of the London Institue but I had quite a hard time getting into the story. I was quite confused by all the characters and how many different voices narrate this story. I hope it will get better in the second installment since I am now familiar with the characters.
