I really liked the second installment in the series. I loved how it broke out of the university setting a bit more and showed us more of the world. I was not as immersed in the story as I wished but that could be from the audiobook. I definitely plan on rereading the series once book three is released.
What exactly did I just read?? I am not sure what I found more weird the complete lack of a storyline or the weird relationships that did not seem real to me. I will continue with the series but only because I want to see how this mess is resolved.
I absolutely loved this story and the format in which it was told. I liked the setting in space and the communications between the starships. I found Kady's and Ezra's love story very compelling and absolutely refreshing because, besides everything that happens around them, they have very mundane problems.
I cannot wait to continue with the story in Gemina.

I was so anxious before reading the second book in the series but I probably loved it even more than I did the first one. It is such an intriguing set of characters and they all deal with their own past and problems but they come together when it counts and are always there for each other. I loved the setting in Ketterdam itself and how so many important messages are mentioned in a fantasy novel. I do hope there will be another book in this series.
This book just did not grab me. I found the representation very good in it, from someone who does not suffer from anxiety but there was no plot to the story, all the parents were either absent or shitty and I found Daisy so unlikable. So, unfortunately, this book fell flat for me.
I loved this compendium of all the Jane Austen novels. I have read all of them before but it was such a nice experience to listen to them. It was my first time reading Lady Susan and I did not find it as good as the rest of the other novels but I still enjoyed it.
I liked the conclusion of the Kane Chronicles but overall this series just wasn't for me. I never really identified with the characters and therefore the stakes did not feel as high as they should have been.
I really liked this novel. As with THUG it transported me into a world that I am completely unfamiliar with. I am not really a huge fan of rap but it was a huge point of the story and I think through the audiobook was really helpful there. I found it interesting to see the Garden again from a different perspective.
It was a nice and quick read but I really did not enjoy the forced conflict in it.
In my opinion, this book did not really pick up from City of Fallen Angels. I am just no fan of the spin-off series. Maybe it will pick up in the last installment of the series.
