I really did not enjoy this book. I understand why it is a classic but it was just not for me. And seeing that it compared to The Chater in the Rye which I also did not like possibly means that these types of book are not for me.

I really liked this retelling. You can definitely see the elements taken from Pride and Prejudice but at the same time, the novel manages to create its own universe.
