I really enjoyed the concept of the novel and how it chronicled the viking expansion. I like the point of entrance and how it was used like a red thread throughout the story.

I quite enjoyed this novel and especially the representation with in it.

This was my first work by the author and I quite enjoyed the writing style and the story. Due to the fact that I started in the middle of the series, I did not get not all the connections but I still enjoyed it very much. I liked the characters and I am thinking of continuing with the series, if I am in to mood for historical romance.

I love Retellings, so this year I want to read a lot of the source material, so that I can understand better what elements the retellings take.
