This was nowhere close to as good as it should have been. I was very disappointed in it I overall.

There are some good ideas, but it's not nearly dark enough. As a teacher, it will go on my class shelf, but I won't recommend it. I think there are far better fairy tale books out there. This didn't feel magical and it ended poorly.

Took a while to get into it, but then I couldn't put it down.
