I really wanted to like this book. I had heard great things about it and about Chloe Gong. But the lack of depth, repetitive writing, shallow plot line, and bland characters, I struggled to pay any mind to this book. I had no attachment to any of the characters, I had no understanding while Calla was doing what she was doing. The twists made no sense, came out of no where and couldn’t be explained for how the twist even fit in considering the other details. I hate not finishing series that I have started, so I’ll probably attempt to read the next one but hopefully it will have better editing and clear up all the questions from this book to make it make sense.
