I read this originally when I was in 7th grade and adored it. I still love the book. But I no longer have any respect for it. If a novel is published as 'an autobiography' and 'anonymous' that's what I expect. I cannot say that I love this book any longer if it was really written by a Ms. Beatrice Sparks. The knowledge of this author completely changes my view of the book.
