ok but when felt that the story was Finally going to move forward i actually finished reading the book??? don’t know how to feel about that
3/5 stars
what an Ending, folks!
this got a bit dull in the middle but expanded on many of the plot lines and finally things felt like they were Actually happening. this might be one of the best books in the series so far? it is also the one that took me the longest to sift through and i even considered dropping the series, lol, so there's that, take it as you will.

oh, my, GOD!?!? the ENDING on this book!!!!
by this point i would just recommend: don’t read blurbs or summaries for KMM books. don’t read reviews about this book. don’t even read THIS review, just go read it. close this tab now. go read this.
now that you’ve closed this review, i will write more about this book for Myself. just for my own future reference.
ok, mac is satisfying in this book and barrons too, even if he’s Still a dodgy bastard. funnily enough, i don’t feel tempted to just google what his deal is, like i’ve done with characters in the past. i’ve also caught countless spoilers and misunderstood things in the past by doing this, so it seems i’ve finally learned my lesson??? spoilers just ruim the fun for me.
it’s cool to see things expanding in this universe, new characters getting more screen time and so this feels wider. it’s not just mac and barrons butting head inside the bookstore, and that’s good, too, because that was starting to get real old. the “progress” on their relationship was also more than welcome, i just regret that they didn’t interact more after barrons did what he had to do and mac went through even more changes. what mac generation are we at rn? 5.0? lol.
anyways, i’m going to rush into the next book as if i’m not stressed beyond belief about work. thank god for books like this that can get our minds out of things.
