Loathing Ryan is about Izabel and Ryan who have a massive rivalry from a small incident that happened one summer at the camp they attend with their schools every year. Since then Ryan has taken it upon himself to prank Izabel every chance he got. But one prank went wrong and they got paired together for all activities. One particular activity meant they got separated from their group and got stranded in a cabin and the story goes from there.

This book is full of hate, anger, happiness, and many more emotions. I love how they went from hating each other to love. One of the main things I love about this first book is how Ryan never hated Izabel and how he was pranking her and having this so-called 'rivalry' with her to keep up his reputation. I also loved the bond that the main characters developed with each other when they were stranded in the cabin and how that bond developed into something more. The way the characters develop throughout the story is another thing that I like especially Ryan he is the one who matures the most.

One thing I didn't like about this book is the way that Ryan calls Izabel babe. I don't like when people use that word but that is just a personal preference and I know some people don't mind it.

The ending of this book with the main characters trying their best at doing long distances that lead to a heart-wrenching ending is so captivating that I can't wait to dive into book two.

Aria Harding has truly written an amazing story and I will definitely be picking up her backlist and any book she comes out with next.
