Always with the laughs and the tears
I’m going 4.5 stars because I was disappointed in the end. Not going to spoil it, and speaking as someone who does not collect trivia of any kind, some pieces of nostalgia belong in our lives. Loved it all the way through, right up until that final sacrifice. So 5 stars through 95% of the book! As always, I love reading Kristan Higgins.

I AM A FAN! Chloe is exquisitely flaky. A lyric butcher, she gets the words wrong all the time, including the Canadian national anthem. I was laughing out loud at “O Caaaanada, we stand on cars, and freeze. O Caaanada, we stand on cars, aaaand freeze.” I will be picking up more of Linda's "Perfectly" books. Sweet, sexy, funny and unputdownable.
3.5 stars.
The book was well written and the descriptions were vivid. The relationships were relateable - three sisters whose mother withheld their inheritances unless they lived together in the home they grew up for a period of one year, a chance to reconnect. The romance between Jack and Caroline was palpable, but the part that annoyed me (and this is probably a personal preference) was seeing the killer's POV sporadically in case we didn't know he was out there. I deduced a different ending, but in reading the "bonus material" at the end, I suspect the next book will address the alleged killer's arrest.
This book is recommendable - nice romantic suspense.

Fun Christmas romp
It starts out as an experiment. Can science overwhelm common sense? This series set in a Christmas village, where Christmas is celebrated every year is a little silly with the Christmas metaphors, and yet its still fun. Once you get past the first chapter, the rest of the book is delightful.

Lovely story
I did enjoy the story, and despite struggling to turn off my inner editor, I stuck with it to the happily ever after.

River Holloway is back, and this time her brother is charged with accessory to murder. River gambles everything she has to prove he and his girlfriend are innocent, bringing danger to her front door. But wait. Just when she thinks she has it all figured out, she realizes she missed that one important detail. Clues are handed out piecemeal until it all comes together in a satisfying conclusion. Make sure to stick around for the recipes at the end of the book.
Set against the background of Hurricane Irma, this mystery is intricately detailed with the loss of power, the aftermath of a disaster, and the difficulties in finding help when help is in short supply. Tawny and Tillman go to visit a man who is more of a father to Tillman than his biological dad, a man who goes missing in the middle of the hurricane. Not sure if he's alive or dead, they get drawn into intrigue, leaving you to wonder who is trying to help and who is out to get them. Well done.
