Elizabeth Acevedo has a delicate, yet profound way of writing stories dealing with complicated family relationships. Her latest novel is no exception. You can absolutely feel her love for storytelling and her culture. Miss Acevedo’s voice is one that I will always listen to. I can’t wait to see what else she writes in the years to come!

These are just so fun to read and by now I feel a kinship to these characters. I can’t help but enjoy the story. I will continue on with the next volume to follow these misfits on their next journey.
