Am I a hater-turned-sucker for a Hollywood romance???

Nora Hamilton is a screen writer for The Romance Channel, delivering those cheesy romance movies with its Happily Ever Afters. When a movie script based around her marriage and subsequent divorce gets optioned for the big screen, Nora plays host to a whole production team on her property as filming takes place. After filming ends, the movie's leading man Leo, offers Nora $1,000 per night to stay in her tea house for a week. Strapped for cash and thinking about her family, Nora agrees to Leo’s proposition. Will Nora’s close proximity and flirty banter with a Hollywood heatthrob lead to something more???

"He was blind to my best qualities, and eventually I was too."

This quote broke a my heart a little bit. I think many people will be able to relate to this line specifically. It can be easy to lose ourselves in the midst of a relationship, but watching Nora grow and shine anew on her journey was beautiful. Her strength as a mother was inspiring. Leo’s relationship with Nora’s children was literally the cutest. I am an absolute höe for a story that features a strong bond between one's partner & their children. It really does something for me 🥵😮‍💨

I absolutely adored this book! Monaghan writes a beautiful novel with a sweet romance. The relationship and banter is something I truly enjoyed watching blossom on page.

This story left me feeling hopeful and smiling. I can definitely see myself rereading this when I need a fast paced pick me up that is for sure!!

PICK THIS UP IF YOU:
-love a forced proximity romance
-need a quick/fast paced read
-want some banter between the mmc+fmc
-adore strong familial bonds
-enjoy the Hollywood romance trope

For a story that was first published in 1839, I rather enjoyed this!

The gothic setting paired with Poe's cryptic poetry woven in made for a creepy little tale. I might actually return to this one in the future during spooky season to really get the full haunting effect.

Well, Gild was much different from what I was expecting! The storyline and world building felt very disjointed. It was heavy on the political aspects of this world, and very little romance at all, so keep that in mind.

I'm not entirely sure what to expect next, but I am interested enough to continue on. I am most intrigued by the MC's special abilities and how that comes into play within the series.

I have been a fan since I first saw Gabrielle Union in the cult classic Bring It On, and have enjoyed her many projects over the years.

Union is very honest and raw in her memoir, not shying away from past traumas, childhood antics, marital woes, her struggle with infertility and her career in hollywood.

Her writing and storytelling felt very personal. As if your dearest truest friend was merely telling a story. I found that to be so comforting & enjoyable. She certainly brought her humor, even after sharing such intimate details that I, personally, would never be brave enough to bring to light. I admire her strength and inspiring nature.

I have to say that I love Gabrielle even more after reading her story.

second read (april 2023): 5 stars
I loved this more upon a reread and needed to bump my rating up. Knox is drool worthy, especially if you love a possessive + touch-her-and-dïē alpha male. Plus this is SO funny! I cannot wait to read Nash’s book 😍

first read (august 2022): 4.5 stars

"There’s a difference between taking care of someone because you love them and taking care of someone because you want them to love you."

There was so much hype surrounding this book, so going in my hopes and expectations were pretty high. I am happy to say that I LOVED it! Although lengthy, this book packed so much into the story that I did not mind it one bit.

We have an underlying mystery plot line throughout the book, lots of humor, tons of heart & I am already itching for a reread so I can annotate tf out of my copy! Not to mention I need the next book in the series ASAP!

well... I think I need to bathe in holy water because this was hottt🥵

I’m bummed because I was hoping to enjoy this one more than I did! Sadly, I didn’t find myself caring for the characters or the romance. I think the line between love and lust was minuscule, with the relationship skewed towards the latter.

But if you came for the sPiCe? Buckle up and put on your life vest darling, because its full steam ahead on this ride to smuttsville😮‍💨

I will definitely be continuing on with this series... for the pLoT of course.

Leave it to TJ Klune to literally make me cackle like a silly little witch throughout the entirety of this book😂

The Lightning-Struck Heart is a romp rockin’, hilariously fun adventure story with complex magic, the snarkiest-sassiest-hornless gay unicorn to ever exist, strong familial bonds, and of course— love.

It’s no surprise that I loved this. The humor is on another level, truly. I also have to say that ”Shrek erotica” is a pretty accurate pitch of this wacky gem. If you think that sounds intriguing, PICK THIS UP IMMEDIATELY!

I cannot wait to continue on with the series and learn more about the magic system, as well as some of the side characters. Gary, you sassy little glitter minx, I LOVE YOU!🫶🏼

**please be aware that this is very much an adult book with some sëxy times & lots of cussing. Like A LOT of cussing.

The Never King is a fast paced, Peter Pan inspired adult urban fantasy romance with lots of spice & little magic. Coming in at under 200 pages, it was difficult to connect with the characters and get to know them beyond the surface level.

The spice was pretty good and contained a scene with twins that was, errrr.. kinda hot?

I’m intrigued enough to continue after the final chapter.
