This slow burn, friends to lovers romance filled with inside jokes, pining and tender moments was such a joy to read! I love how Emily Henry is able to create not only a beautiful love story, but one that also dives into more meaningful topics such as therapy and grief.

I actually loved the back and forth dual timeline aspect and getting to see how their friendship blossomed over the years and the current day chapters showing the aftereffects of their fractured relationship with Poppy & Alex finding their way back to each other.

I just can’t wait to pick up more from EH❤️

These two little bbs are just the most precious beings! I love that this story delved into more serious topics such as mental health and eating disorders. The way Nick CARES for Charlie is just the absolute sweetest thing but also the way Charlie stood up for himself 🥹👏🏼👏🏼

I also liked that we got to see more of the friend group and some other side characters. The queer love in here is amazing to see 🌈❤️

Sadly, this was a big miss for me. The pacing was all over the creation. The chemistry was nowhere in the room when it came to the underdeveloped "romance" of this book. The writing felt middle grade, yet young adult at times so I wasn't expecting the spicy scene that made an appearance which also felt extremely out of place.

This just didn't make sense and wasn't an enjoyable time, but hopefully it works for others.

Maybe my expectations were high because I was highly anticipating this release but this story truly felt disjointed in relation to the first book and separately on its own. The chemistry between the two characters was a miss for me, unfortunately.

I'm just really bummed this didn't work for me however, I seem to have an unpopular opinion so I'm not mad about that.

Hmm.. this had some cute moments and I appreciate the brief discussion on grief, but I wish this was longer because everything was a little too perfect and cookie cutter for me.

If you’re in the mood for something cute and not something to take seriously, I think you’ll enjoy this.
