For my first book from this author, I was pleasantly impressed and actually really enjoyed this book! This skewed more toward literary with horror elements than a straight horror, so keep that in mind when you pick it up.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting to care so much about these characters and even rooted so hard for the lil romance in here! I appreciated the complex familial relationship and commentary on past trauma, transformation & healing.

I can’t wait to read more from Harrison!

I settled on this rating because I couldn’t justify it being higher, but a solid 4 also didn’t seem right. I’m meeting in the middle. Kinda. Sorta.

Full review to come!

This dark wizard gave me Gru & his minions vibes! This was a super cozy read and the audiobook was great to listen to, but I often found myself getting lost in the cast of characters.

I think if you enjoy a cozy fantasy moment like Legends & Lattes, you might really like this one too!

This was not marked accurately by calling itself a sports romance with very little “sports”, but it did deliver on the girl obsessed+possessive MMC. I know this didn’t work for everyone but I really enjoyed this romantic suspense that shed light on heavier topics.

I quite enjoyed this one! The various character POV’s and nonlinear time jumps were a bit confusing to follow at first, but once things started making sense it wasn’t too much of an issue. I thought the writing was strong, but sadly I was left feeling unsatisfied with the ending.

I will definitely be picking more up from the author in the future!
