This was a thrilling read with such important topics discussed within such as classism, homophobia and racism. It definitely served the chilling Get Out vibes. I'm happy I finally picked this one up and look forward to reading more from this author!

“𝑾𝒚𝒂𝒕𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈. 𝑯𝒆’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒏. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒖𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒓𝒃𝒊𝒕, 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.”
𝗪𝘆𝗮𝘁𝘁 is the second book in the 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 series following Wyatt and his childhood best friend, Sally. After Sally returns home for a short time and begins not only fake dating but also learning bedroom lessons from Wyatt, nothing could go wrong.. right?!
I absolutely LOVED Wyatt and Sally’s story! After getting a glimpse at the banter between them in the previous book, I knew their story would be full of that back & forth goodness and Jessica Peterson didn’t let me down. The Prologue allowed a brief yet meaningful look into the Rivers’ family after suffering their great loss and allowed us to intimately grieve alongside them. It was really nice to get insight at the early friendship of Sally and Wyatt and how showing up for him in his time of need helped their initial bond root itself even deeper.
I adored how naturally these two gravitated back to each other after being apart while Sally was off chasing her dreams. Wyatt didn’t hold her back and that spoke to the kind of man he is. Sally’s character growth was necessary and watching her confidence be restored with the help of Wyatt was just beautiful. She deserves to be loved and my goodness does Wyatt do it right!
This book is 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 for anyone craving a heartwarming small town romance with swoon worthy friends to lovers, fake dating, mutual pining and delicious spice.

I’m not sure if the holly jolly spirit is helping my mental state with these reads lately, but this story really touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect.
This story follows Iris as she escapes her emotionally abusive relationship in London to New York, where her late mother spoke of so many cherished memories. After hearing about the neighborhood gelateria owners health scare, she understands that the coveted and highly exclusive Belotti family recipe of their best selling vanilla gelato is the shops only hope of keeping the family business running. Little do the Belotti family know, Iris can be the one to save their shop after all!
Josie Silver’s writing is captivating and had me tearing up at different points because I just felt so deeply for these characters. I was invested in the storyline and how the invisible string brought Iris back to a family that her mother had ties to. The few POV’s we got from Vivien’s past in Nee York was a great addition to the story and allowed me to feel even more rooted in Iris’ path in the story. It was a beautiful journey of healing and growing in love.
I have to give it up for my man Gio & not allowing his woman to be disrespected! The Belotti family exude a big warm hug and I’m just so happy Iris found her people to love and protect her so fiercely.
This is definitely a gem I will have to revisit again🩵

Shout out to the CAWPILE method in helping me decide on a rating for this bloody little gem.
This story begins with our FMC college student wanting to date an affluent guy with the hopes of meeting his mother who runs a fashion magazine so she can get her foot in the door to the world of design. When he invites her to his family’s Easter getaway on a private island, she soon learns that what she’s gotten herself into has taken a very sinister turn.
The Ready or Not vibes were pretty spot on, although the deep seated reasons behind the book packs more of a punch regarding societal issues Dawson tackles here.
I loved the conversation surrounding intentions and vengeance after everything the hired help has gone through while working for such a horrendous wealthy family.
This book held my attention until the very end and I thought the story wrapped up nicely without leaving me wanting more. A perfect novella for anyone wanting a “stick it to the big guy” sort of plot line that doesn’t shy away from gore!

It’s weird for me of all people to say that I didn’t cry in this book but there’s no doubt that the writing was beautiful and had such stunning quotes.
Personally, I do not recommend the audiobook and think that if I had stuck to reading this physically, it could have been a five star read.

I absolutely recommend listening to this one on audio because Zach Webber will bless your entire life😇
This one definitely serves up the Knives Out vibes and even had a dash of a rivals to lovers romance. The story itself was enjoyable but in the end it fell a little flat with the big mystery reveal and how everything tied together, but I still enjoyed my time reading it.
If you're wanting something that delivers on the holiday feels while the mc's try to solve a mystery, pick this one up!

”Clara was special. Is special. She’s a mosaic of a person. So many differing, unique elements that create one perfect thing. A little chaotic and a whole lot of mess involved—but beautiful all the same.”
I absolutely adored this holiday novella! These FMC’s are childhood friends turned to adult lovers who start things off by fake dating, which quickly turns into real feelings.
The representation jam packed into this story was lovely to see. Even though this has the fluff of a typical holiday romance, the author also delves into deeper topics. I thought it was perfectly balanced!
In this you’ll find found family, queer joy, punny jokes and feel an overwhelming sense of love woven into these pages.
