I might try this again later but really couldn’t be bothered to care about anything happening in this moment. 🥲

This one served up the best small town vibes I adore & had some spicyyyy scenes that were quite nice 🤭

I liked the symbolism of this mountain summit being so daunting for Emily, but with the right person by her side and taking steps towards healing childhood trauma, she could conquer that fear.

I found The View from the Top to be a really sweet sapphic romance with conversations around mental health, finding your community, and embracing change.

This was such a witty and quite humorous story with a very engaging plot line. I loved how this broke the fourth wall throughout the book and kept the reader entertained. I really felt that enhanced the reading experience and made it a fun read.

I already placed a hold on the next book and look forward to being back with this cast of characters to solve the next case!

What a sweet book with such a fun premise—

Escaping the transgressions from her previous school & home life, Evie is hoping for a fresh start at her new boarding school. Everett Owen Riley (Evie for short) gets mistakenly placed into the boys dormitory after being misgendered by her name. The living situation offers unique obstacles as you’d expect, but also delivers the friendships she has been craving and maybe even a budding romance with a dorm mate.

Ughhhh this made me feel like I was in high school all over again and in the throes of life at this boarding school alongside Evie. There was humor, growth and a budding slow burn- friends to lovers romance that had me kicking my feet. This is probably my favorite Dahlia Adler book I’ve read so far! Super cutie read.

This book also different from previous DA books I’ve read in which Come As You Are featured lgbt side characters + Jewish rep.

Sadly this didn’t grip me which is disappointing because the cover has me drooling, but hey.. it happens.

After reading this book, I’ve come to the conclusion that Freida:

#1 hates women
(using a woman struggling with fertility & mental issues become a villain in this way is disgusting & despicable)

#2 either loves tuna more than the average person, or wants anyone who reads this book to never want to eat tuna again. This book having 79 (yes you read that correctly) instances of the word is criminal and deserves jail time.

#3 loves to write infuriating characters who are dumb AF.

I have zero desire to pick up another Frieda book in this lifetime.
