This was a very cute story! And the cover art is just soooo swoony. I often find myself saying i hate miscommunication as a trope but sometimes its okay ;)
The two mc's were adorable, and this book touched on a few really good topics like grief, and mental health. the nickname aspect was also a fun touch - both of them having a name that is important to the plot in some way. I dont think i've read a catfish type story in a long time, if at all, so this was refreshing and felt really well done!
Also? That phone scene? 🥵 jeeeeeeze.

You NEED this audiobook. (I’m sure the book is also good, but the audio!!!)
I’m so happy I read this. This was such a fun slightly spooky rom com to read. The fmc works for what I assume is a buzzfeed-like media office, and she needs a new idea for a show. One late night she discovers our mmc and his conspiracy podcast.
The reason the audiobook I think is the best format is because every couple chapter, they include snipits from the podcast and the audio editing is just so unique and fun!! It really set the scene and added a cool level to being immersed in the story.
The banter was funny, the romance was sweet, and man - I hate a bully ex trope but I think it’s just maybe a testament to how well it was written that it made me feel so genuinely sad for our mc’s. However Hayden was such a good protective golden retriever type, he made it 10000% better. All around I loved every aspect of this story 🩵
Halfway into this book I was so impressed by the writing, I stopped to look up other books by this author and I was surprised to learn this is her debut?? It was so good and I can’t wait for more. Instant fan from me :)
