This book has been staring me down for years. Quite literally. I would see it everywhere. It was fantastic. A fairy tale world that closely relates to 1800s Europe, where the actions of royalty do actually effect the people living in their countries and where there are actual repercussions to face. I loved the characters, the idea, and even the setting and overall thought it was very well done.
I thought this was the best of the series. After the second book I was a little wary, but it pulled all the plots together and gave a glance at characters I loved from the earlier books. Overall I thought it was delightful and it tugged at my girlish heartstrings.
