I almost didn’t pick up this book because of the name. (And who and I kidding, the original cover!) But I’m happy I did! It felt unique with its supernatural elements and had a perfect YA bad boy!

Great for readers looking for a Holly Black dark vibe in a supernatural/
fantasy world with a little bit of open door romance thrown in! 

Always a fan of Jennifer L. Armantrout and this didn’t disappoint! Was it my favourite of hers, no. But did I still devour the book in 2 days, totally!! 

This had really good world building and strong character development. I also really liked the relationship between Oraya and Raihn once things got going and the ebbs and flows that happened throughout. I’m interested with how their relationship plays out in the next book. I wonder if the novella I’m reading next will bring more to light! As the book picks up in the final third it’s really hard to put this books down. Nothing like a cliffhanger ending…. Overall this was a good which I’m happy about because you never know with super hyped books and I really have to move the next books up on my TBR list!
