I feel like there is such potential with the plot, but the characters are just flat, and there is so much exposition in each book to have all the action in the final quarter with no resolution... I am going to finish the series, but don't have high hopes 

I like the idea of this book but it just felt like a prequel novella at the end. I am
invested in the world building enough to read the series since this book ended right at the start of the action.
