I like the relationships between people, and the plot is fantastic. But there's way too much violence for my taste, and some other stuff I didn't like. Definitely not one for kids, and actually not even one that I would recommend for teens either.

I love the theme of escape and finding freedom and discovering who you are when you're a teen. This is great writing, and the characters are compelling, but I just hated all the violence. bleh.

I loved the story. It was so funny and interesting! But there are several curse words, so not one for kids.

Too many characters, slow plot, boring writing, too much tech stuff, cardboard characters with lame one-liners.

It started out well, but I am disappointed with the writing and the plot. Too much voodoo for my taste.

The last line of the book is "That may be," Nora said, "but it's all pretty unsatisfactory."

That line perfectly describes this book. The mystery is great. The characters are great. The writing is phenomenal. But there are curse words, and everyone is always drunk and smoking stuff. Pretty unsatisfactory. I prefer the movies!

I'm not sure what to think about this book. There were parts that I really loved, and other bits that I wasn't too happy with. The writing is excellent, the plot moves forward beautifully, the characters are varied and engaging. I love the historical bits, but somehow... It's just not my cup of tea. A boy would love this book! Too gory for me though.

A short little book, with a simple voice but a lot to say. Beautifully written, but rather boring. It makes for a soothing read though, and is still interesting enough to keep your attention.

This one was really fun and interesting! Not my favorite type of writing, but the story itself was great and moved along well. I didn't really care about the characters at first, but by the end I was cheering them on!
