Boris leads the kittens in exploring an old pirate ship in the museum. They overhear the mischievous rats talking about a treasure map, and begin to follow the rats in order to claim the treasure for the museum.

I really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of this fourth book in the series! As the kittens follow the clues, they really have to think carefully to figure out where the treasure might be hidden.

This is such an adorable book! The kittens are so cute, and I love the little adventures they have. The plot is simple, but interesting. The writing style is perfect for this age group, and even enjoyable for an adult to read.

I love the world-building of the museum and the family of cats. The old grandfather cat presides over the museum, and the caring mother cat herds the kittens into some semblance of order.

The best thing about this book was the sibling relationships between Bianca, Tasha, and Boris. They squabble and tease each other. They make mistakes, and are not always kind or wise. But they learn and grow and try to do better. When Peter is thrown into the middle of their sibling rivalry, it really mixes things up!

The illustrations are beautiful, and really bring the story to life. Seeing the artwork of the kittens makes me want to give them a cuddle!

In this third book of the series, Bianca befriends a group of schoolchildren who are at the museum for a sleepover. She loves all the attention she gets for her beautiful white fur! But the rats are scampering around the museum at night, frightening the children. When Bianca disappears, the other kittens look everywhere for her and finally confront the rats. Maybe the rats kidnapped Bianca? Or maybe Bianca wants to run away with the schoolchildren?

Jack and his friend/symbiont Draycos are looking for information about who attacked Draycos' people. They try to infiltrate a mercenary compound by posing as slaves, certain that they will be able to escape later. However, things take a nasty turn when Jack becomes a slave for real, and is sent to work in the fields with the other slaves.

The plot is full of non-stop action, and I was very interested in the world-building of the planet Brum-a-dum. Jack and Draycos meet so many different types of aliens, and they are all really imaginative and memorable! I love the writing style, the characters, the plot twists, and everything!

This book deals with more serious issues than previous books in the series, as Jack faces the indignities and horror of slavery. He has to rethink his previously self-centered views on life, when several slaves whom he barely knows risk their own safety to help him. He sees generosity in people who have nothing to give, but they give anyway. He develops compassion as he talks to Draycos about the immorality of slavery. Jack's character begins to search for deeper meaning beyond the dollar value of what he can get for himself, and he begins to ask himself how he can be kind to others. I love his character development and the exploration of these deep themes!

This book gives information about amazing animals around the world. There are endangered animals, record-setting animals, and animals that survive in extreme conditions. I liked that this book is divided into sections for animals in different types of ecosystems. There is a section about nocturnal animals, whales and dolphins, insects, types of octopi, animals that transform, animals that migrate, and even wild animals that live in the city.

I loved the beautiful illustrations in this book! Every page is so attractive and colorful. The factoids about each animal are really interesting, and the design of the page layouts makes it easy to read. There are little snippets of information next to illustrations of each animal, and you get to learn so much so quickly!

It really gets on my nerves when science books talk about scientific theories as if they were fact, and they don't tell the reader that it's just a theory. It's so unethical, and it's misleading. It makes me not trust anything else they say, because who knows what else they could be lying to the reader about. If you don't have the evidence to prove something, then you shouldn't be pretending like it's a fact. That's dishonest. It would be so easy to clear up these misunderstandings if they would just admit that it's a theory! Thankfully, there were only a few places like that, and the rest of the information in the book appears to be correct.

The author tells all about their expeditions to Antarctica, the animals that live there, the different types of ice, and how scientists are still learning more about the southern continent. We learn about the history of exploration in Antarctica, and how the South Pole was discovered. We learn about the different glaciers and science stations with maps to show their locations.

Three girls team up as inventors to discover new things and invent special devices. One invention ties your shoes. Another invention is supposed to brush your teeth for you, but it doesn't exactly work. The girls send their horse toy to Mars on a rocket, but the horse toy disappears. Now they are on a mission to Mars to save their favorite toy. Along the way, they must use all their inventions to help them on their adventure.

This is such a cute graphic novel! The story is imaginative and fun. I loved the smart girls and their friendly attitudes. They are determined and resourceful through all their adventures. There are so many hilarious scenes that made me laugh!

The art work is adorable and colorful. Every page is so attractive and interesting, especially once they get to Mars and see the alien landscape of a new planet!

All the inventions are so cool. There is a robot who makes sandwiches and plays music. There is a glove that punches, a drone that takes photos, a bicycle that travels in outerspace, and eyeglasses that will feed you a lollipop.

This book is wonderful and fun! And I think it could encourage children to be interested in science, technology, and engineering so that they can invent their own new devices in the future!

This book gives true stories about traditions around the world for celebrating birthdays, weddings, and funerals. We find out about different types of trees, animals, and dinosaurs. There are sections about food and table manners in different cultures. We learn about the history of the bicycle, camping, playgrounds, and amusement parks.

I liked the cute illustrations in this book! The art style is colorful and clear, and the designs are really attractive. There is an illustration of a lesbian couple being married in the chapter about weddings.

This would be such a fun book to read with a curious kid who loves to find out about the world!

This book explains the history of planet discoveries and why the decision was made to make Pluto into a dwarf planet. You will learn how objects in space are classified as asteroids, comets, dwarf planets, moons, and of course the eight planets.

I loved the attractive design of this book! The artwork is so cute and fun, and Pluto is depicted as this scrappy little ice planet guy with a happy expression. I love that the book sort of personifies the planets in a funny way! It makes the features of the planets and other space objects really memorable.

The writing really grabs your attention and makes the information interesting. It's like reading an exciting story about the history of the people who discovered different planets and asteroids. I also like that the book addresses the fact that some people really are upset about Pluto not being a planet, and it's okay to be upset and emotional about it. But the author encourages the reader to embrace changes in science as new discoveries are made, and look at all the facts logically.

I didn't like the sassy attitude of the premise of children teaching grown ups about science. I know it's supposed to be funny and cute, but sometimes it came across as too aggressive and disrespectful.
If you want to open up a conversation with an adult and talk about how new scientific discoveries have changed the definition of a planet, is it really best to start with the attitude that the other person is ignorant and "set in their ways"?
It's not cute. It's belligerent, and the book assumes that there will be an argument and that the adult will be difficult to talk to. That's not a healthy attitude for anyone! Instead of approaching it with an attitude of learning together, this book encourages children to approach it like a contest of knowledge to prove that they "know more" than the other person. Can't we just learn together side by side? Does it have to become an argument between the "educated" person and the "ignorant" person? I was very disappointed in this approach.

This book gives amazing facts about everything under the sun (and beyond) with colorful artwork and photos on every page. Each fact connects in some way with the previous fact, leading you around in a trail of random information that is sure to grab your attention.

I love the attractive design of this book! Every page is so colorful and bright.

The facts are short and easy to read quickly. I wish that some of them had further explanations though. Many of the facts didn't make sense to me and needed some more information added to them. Some of them are more theories than facts, since there is no way they can be proven.

I enjoyed reading this book very much!

This book will give you instructions for how to approach a cat, make friends, and start petting that cat! There are sections about caring for cats, the history of cats, famous cats around the world, how to choose a cat for a pet, and ideas for naming your cat. There is even a personality quiz so you can match your personality to your cat! There is also a "cat tracker" where you can write in the cats that you meet and what breeds of cats that you see.

This book is so adorable! I love the attractive design and the sweet artwork. Every page is so colorful, and all the kitties are so cute!

There is some really good information in this book, and it is also interesting to read about the history of cats. I loved reading about the famous cats throughout history!
