I love the Penderwick books! The ending here is a bit obvious, but it doesn't really matter, b/c getting there is so fun and delightful. Wonderful writing, delicious characters! I love it all!

Even with the Gothic style and the doomsday storyline, this book manages to be fun and entertaining. A very good read!
