Ah, I'm so happy!! I want to dance around with the book in my arms, smiling and laughing to the skies! So many emotional and romantic moments, people becoming closer and sharing their true hearts! I love how Uotani and Hanajima are so protective of Tohru at this point, and they really chew out anybody who might upset her in the slightest way.
I'm so proud of Kyo for standing up for himself and being so courageous in the face of hatred. He chose to confront those fears, and really went through the fires in this one. He's so wonderful!
There are no words to describe how much I love this volume. I kept going back to reread my favorite bits over and over!!

Ah, I can't believe it's the end! I want more! Why does it have to be over?!
This book is so amazing and wonderful, and I'm so happy for all my dear characters! Everybody happy, and together, and free to live their beautiful lives. All my darlings safe and well and prosperous. I do love a happy ending!
I was crying and laughing at this last book, because it all gets so emotional and crazy!

That is perhaps the most terrible thing I have ever read. I mean, I knew it would be disparaging of women and archaic in it's ideas, but seriously! I never imagined that this play would be so entirely anti-feminist; buying and selling women in marriage without one single man ever once asking what the woman wants. All they talked about was price and goods and ownership, as if a marriage was a financial transaction.
These guys seem to have no problem lying to everyone, and concealing their true identities to take advantage of trusted positions.
And they gambled on whether their wives would obey them. Betting on women: NOT cool. Expecting women to obey men: Really NOT cool. Gambling: Also stupid.
Then again, Katherine is a horrible person. She ties up her sister Bianca and then hits her. Katherine is not just an outspoken, independent lady; she's abusive and evil. She could stand to be taken down a peg or two. I was glad that she suffered later on. She's a spoiled brat.
Every person in this play is horrible and selfish and cruel, men and women included!
The entire first part of the play was this weird set-up about a poor drunkard who is tricked into thinking he is a wealthy lord, but that entire story line was left hanging with no resolution. What was the point of that? It had nothing to do with the story at all.
I hate everything about this play.
( Also.... I'm getting really sick and tired of your penis jokes, Shakespeare. Get some new material! )

This is a truly terrible play. The writing is decent, but the subject material.... ugh! So much violence and nastiness and evil, it made me cringe.
Titus Andronicus is a Roman general just back from war with the Goths, and he kills the son of Tamora, the Queen of the Goths, starting a cycle of revenge that ends with lots of blood on both sides.
It's a tragedy, so I know nearly everyone is going to die, but still... really over the top violence and bloodshed.
Titus has about 7 living sons (I lost count) at the beginning of the play, and all but one are dead by the end. They are stabbed, framed for murder and executed, banished to the wilderness, or killed in the wars. Some are even killed by their own family. Messed up family.
Tamora has 3 sons, and after doing heinous deeds and plotting evil, they all die too. Their throats are slit, the blood is collected in a basin, they're chopped into bits, their bones ground up for flour and baked into a lovely casserole. Yeah, cannibalism in Rome. Messed up Rome.
The worst part is when Lavinia, Titus' daughter, is kidnapped and raped by the evil Goth sons of Tamora. They cut out her tongue, so she can't tell anyone who raped her, and they cut off both her hands, so that she can't write down their names. Messed up and gross and ew.
There are so many things I hated about this play. I can't even imagine it actually being produced, because blood and guts and yucky are in every scene.
