Really strong world, magic and anti-colonialist themes. Some great moments of high emotions and suspense. Sadly brough down by weak characters, plot and writing.

The Illumicrate Edition has a bonus chapter that first was really cute and then broke my heart and earned this book a quarter star more.

Yeah it's messy but ALSO something happens in this book that I have been waiting for for NINE YEARS so I'm not gonna complain actually
