I didn't a lot of this book a little confused about what was what, which part was the actual novel and which part was the novel within the novel, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment one bit. I did guess the murderer, but that also didn't take away from my enjoyment. Really, I just want to talk to someone about this!

I bet much enjoyed this YA Gothic horror romance novel. Love this take on a love triangle, marriage of convenience, supernatural romantasy.
I think there's a bit of toxic relationship that never is fully addressed, but I am very happy with the ending, it's what I was hoping for all along honestly.
The narrator did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend.

I did enjoy the story and listened through in a single sitting (at 2x) but it was missing something. Not sure what exactly. I just didn't care about the characters as much as I wanted to? Or the change felt too quick? Or it just felt a little clunky? The twist at the end felt forced for sure, but I still plan to check out the next one!
