Amazing. A sweep across counntries and time and lives and just...I loved it.

Heartbreaking. It was written so simply and straightforward for what tragedies the words were actually portraying. I'm amazed that the social services man could just ignore the situation like he did. And I wonder at how much the author still respected her parents after how neglectful they were and what they put their children through. I'm so impressed with the author's courage in telling her story.
