Nice romance, and loved the email communications, but the writing is lacking and sometimes I felt I was reading a piece of AO3 fanfiction. Highly recommend to any fan of LGBT romance and cliche enemies to lovers kind of thing. Looking forward to the movie adaptation and a possible book sequel.
I could rant about how I feel robbed of a better resolution, but I'll just say that orcas are not whales, let alone killer whales, and the so called chilean lobster is not a lobster, they're actually crustaceans from two distinct taxonomic families.
I'll be back tomorrow with a proper review for I'm currently coming down with the most homophobic cold ever but omfg THEM
Thank you so much Ben for this ARC, the perfect choice to mark the 100th book of 2022 and last read of pride.

It was nice reading the sequel and seeing loose ends get closure, but it felt like reading a fanfic. My overall impression with this series is probably due to the fact that I have read more recent works by TJ and know who his writing and storytelling has improved, so earlier works feel lacking, even if they're incredible and already better than most stuff out there. I'll probably read the next one because seing the Kid as a teenager sounds amazing, but definitely lowering my expectations from now on.
I’m still crying. They deserved better, I was definitely not expecting this amount of pain. Had plans to build a quote bot for Arden’s books but now I have to first recover myself from the trauma. 10/10 recommend.
This book. It's even hard to explain what it made me feel. For those of you who've read All For The Game, it feels a lot like an Andreil fanfic, because if Victor is basically Swimmer Andrew. I loved it so much, and even going in with good expectations it managed to be even better. The way that Riley executed the plot and the vision and the characters, flawless. Also, I really gotta stop reading about broken men that make me relate a bit too much.
