Meeting your soul mate is like walking into a house you’ve been in before — you will recognize the furniture, the pictures on the wall, the books on the shelves, the contents of drawers. You could find your way around in the dark if you had to.

I wanted to read this fast, so I could finish it before the month of May was out, but I quickly realised this isn’t a book you just hurry through. It deserves to be taken in slowly. It deserves all your undivided attention. 

Absolutely freaking adored the writing style.

This was very good. TJR has such a unique way of storytelling and writes characters like no other. And every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, it didn’t and the story surprised me. I’m also really looking forward to reading more about Carrie Soto in the upcoming book! I was very intrigued by her character. 

I do have to say that the ending, while beautiful, was a little anticlimactic to me. I’d expected the book was building up to something more dramatic than what I got, but hey I’m actually not mad about it 😅
