This is one of the more ridiculous books I’ve read this year but I enjoyed every minute of it 😂 if I had a Vampiric roommate I would also watch Buffy episodes together

What in the fanfiction did I just read? This was my first time reading Tessa Bailey and it might've been the wrong thing to start with. I got this short story for free so I thought, might as well try it to see if I like her writing. This was just... not for me. I get that this is a short story, so there's no time to really develop a relationship between the characters, but that's obviously what the author tried to do. It just doesn't work when you only have 50 pages to do it. She tells me they have an instant, soulmate-like, once-in-a-lifetime kind of connection, but I didn't feel anything. A short bio of Tessa Bailey on the back of this booklet calls her the "queen of dirty talk" but if this story is any indiciation of her style of spice/smut, I don't think it's the kind of romance I vibe with. I'm so tired of the "good girl" nickname. Just... stop. It sounds  like you're talking to a pet. It's not sexy. Then again, the little excerpt of 'Wreck the Halls' at the end of this booklet peaked my interest. So maybe I do wanna try more of Tessa Bailey? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The premise was so cool and I really liked all the female characters and the GoT White Walker-type monsters but I'm sad to say that I had to struggle my way through this... 😔 especially towards the end. Thank god for the audiobook! Might write a more comprehensive review later. Going to discuss this at a bookclub tonight.

I knew this book was going to break my heart but knowing it and actually experiencing it are two different things 💔 this should be required reading for everyone

 was everything I wanted and more 😭🤩 dare I say I liked this even more than I did Love, Theoretically? 🙊If these characters were real life people I would, at this very moment, be going down a rabbit hole of tiktok edits and pinterest boards about their relationship 😂 the only thing that could’ve made this book better is a little spice but this is YA, obviously. I’m not even mad about the lack of it, because there was sexual tension GALORE and apparently that’s enough for me 😂 I just enjoyed it so much 🫶🏼
