I originally rated this book four stars but then I started to consider the story and decided to lower it down to three stars. The reason for this change of heart? The story pissed me off at the end. Granted I was coming to this book having already watched the movie (which I LOVED!), so I had preconceived notions for how the story would play out.
I liked the Hollywood ending more than the book. The book ended in such an ambiguous manner that left me looking around my apartment for the actual ending. It must have fallen out of my purse or something because it couldn't have just disappeared. I also wanted to punch the lead character towards the end as well. My right eye is twitching just thinking about her and her actions (or lack of).
le sigh....
This is one of those (rare) cases in which I prefer the film over the book.
