This was a cute cozy mystery and for the most part the story was great. I did think about DNFing several times, but stuck with it.
My problems were how bogged down in details it was. The author explains a lot of things that feel like they should be show, not tell. It also feels like they tried to be “hip” and “of the times” including some lingo that felt out of place. I also noticed a few words were used repetitively close together (several instances of “inside” being used 2-3 times in 1-2 sentences). The end was a bit disappointing. It felt like the reveal didn’t make sense. Honestly it just felt like this book need more/better editing. I think the author has potential with the right team
