This Lucy Score book made me wish more sports romances were like this one. Sports romance books are not really my jam, and I’ve been putting off reading Heart of Hope because of the sports aspect. I wish I had not waited so long! Lucy Score made me cry, swoon, and feel all the feels! I loved how Beau taught Bristol what she needed to coach the town youth hockey team and to start coming to terms with her sister’s death. The clues about Beau’s secret kept me guessing until the end. I love the way that Lucy Score unravels the mysteries in her books! If more sports romances were like this one, I would probably read more of them.

I’ve been putting off reading this Lucy Score book for some time. Something about it when I would read the blurb just didn’t entice me. But I’ve loved all the other books I’ve read by Lucy Score, so I finally decided to take the plunge. I mean a kidnapped groom seemed like a fun read. And that part of the book was great! However, it was only about a third of the book. The rest of it was about Aiden and Frankie trying to figure out their relationship, and for me that part of the book just didn’t hold my attention.

It was filled with the humor and sexy scenes I associate with Lucy Score, but Aiden and Frankie just weren’t captivating enough for me in the second half of the book. The secondary characters were more interesting to me. Frankie’s brothers were relatable and I enjoyed the scenes with them as well as with Pru, the Bride from the beginning of the book. In the end I’m bummed that this book wasn’t as awesome as I was led to believe, but I’m glad that I finally read it.

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff wrote a fun vampire world. The hierarchy and rules for the vampires was creative and I wanted to know more. The vampires had intriguing backgrounds and I can’t wait to learn more about them. I will say the romance between the vampire and the librarian wasn’t what I was expecting. It lacked the chemistry and heat that I wanted, but perhaps that will change in the next books as the characters spend more time together. I’ll be back for more of the Librarian’s Vampire Assistant books. I was pulled into the world and want to know more! So long as you go in knowing that this first book isn’t a true romance read you’ll enjoy it.

Marrying Mr. Wrong is a great example of why I love Claire Kingsley books. The ways she weaves in characters and easter eggs from her other books. It is something that I get super fan girly about! I loved how we still got to see the other Dirty Martini girls as well as the Everly and Hazel’s husbands. The scenes with Shepard and Corban were my favorite scenes!

This book pulls you into Sophie’s hilarious and hot mess of a life right from the beginning. I enjoyed how we got to see sunshiney Sophie slowly let people into the dark shadows that she kept hidden away. Camden wanted to be a player so hard, but his heart was just too romantic. The way that he takes care of Sophie is so swoony!

I feel like any book that can get you laughing out loud and be so emotionally invested in the characters that you cry along with their heart break is a well written amazing story. Marrying Mr. Wrong did all those things for me.
