I've always seen these books but never read them. A recommendations from a colleague convinced me to try it and I'm glad I did. Fast-paced, intrigue, good guys, bad guys, government agents. I'm happy to have found a new-to-me series I can add into the rotation
This book shows its age. Luckily it was short so I got through it. Maybe I'll try a more modern novel in the alphabet series late this year.
Based on a true story of a remarkable woman in the early 20th century. She fought back against a wrong-doing and ended up with a career thanks to a strong male ally who believed in her and her potential.
Listen to this audio book, it is narrated by the author beautifully and adds such a lovely dimension to the story she is telling. Her passion, her curiosity, her struggles, her loves and her triumphs are relayed in a compelling fashion. 8m so grateful my cousin Katherine recommended this book. I loved it.

Re-read this in 2024 so I could read the 3rd novel in the series. I liked it more this time. Be sure to rewind and re-listen to a chapter if you get a bit lost or forget which Bobid narrating the chapter. The story moves quick!

Twists and turns abound. Engaging read, kept me interested even though at some points I didn't want to like it.
