I love reading a sequel to a book I had really enjoyed. 'Sycamore Row' picks up a couple years after 'A Time to Kill', one of the earlier John Grisham novels, and one I remember I'd liked.
Out of the gate, the book grabs your attention, and makes you not want to put it down. If you're in the mood for a mystery and a lawyer book, this is a great, entertaining read.

It must be fun to be Seth Grahame-Smith and get to see how many ways you can weave alternate vampire history into major world events. I won't spoil anything here, but suffice it to say he does it a lot, and in my pinion, does it well.
I enjoyed reading this book, as I did the prequel. I found myself smiling at each new turn and each new take on the history I know well.

Really love this Cordell Logan series. The story is engaging, fast paced, dramatic, exciting, thrilling, heart wrenching, all of it. Looking forward to the next one!
Great book. Emotionally tough to read at times, but well-written, engaging and original. I wanted it to keep going so I could find out what happened next.
Loved this book. Not surprised I loved it as much as I did, given Colleen's recommendation and the subject matter. Really looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
I almost stopped reading it after the first few chapters because I was so annoyed, frustrated and disappointed in the lead character. She's supposed to be a well-respected "lifestyle blogger" but she's a pushover, when it comes to life and her own business. The book is poorly researched too.
The book was entertaining enough in the end, but I've enjoyed the author's other books much more.

Really enjoyed this one. Came as a recommendation from my step-mom who is a voracious reader. Great details about the technical aspects of painting, art, and forgeries. I now feel the urge to visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art so I can check out some Degas "originals"
I really love J. A. Jance's "JP Beaumont" series and I want to love Ali Reynolds too, but I don't yet. It's a good mystery, good suspense, ok story, but I want Ali to be more. More aware, more conscious of her actions, her surroundings. She is a smart woman, but not always.... I want her to be stronger, more of a heroine. Still with faults but stronger.
I want to love this series. I'll listen to another.
