Didn't love this one. Bi bi romance with lots of food, wine and pastries in Italy and France.  I just couldn't connect with the characters and their internal dialog struggles

Count me amongst the gazillion people that immediately got into this story and are excited for the next novel in the series. Excellent romantasy with Dragons, magical powers, and possible government conspiracy.

I enjoyed most of this book. Song character development and interesting story lines and set up.

The ending felt rushed and barely tied into title (or maybe I just didn't get the connection the author was trying to make?)

I do look forward to the next book by this author. The talent and story telling is there.

A dark, YA retelling of Alice in Wonderful. I'm impressed that this was the author's first book. Lots of interesting twists and ties into the story it was inspired by. Nice cliffhanger at the end.

A nice light romance novel. You'll need to suspend disbelief some and just let the story so it's thing.

Wish they're had been an author's note included in the book. Would have been interesting to know if the island was inspired by a real place.

It's complicated. A ton of characters, a ton of story lines and a bunch of flashbacks - this meant I had to re-listen to a chapter or two fairly often. Took awhile to get going (longer than I wished) but got interesting. Lots of fighting, betrayal, mysticism and mystery.

Historic fiction, time travel, mystery, romance. An excellent combination of my favorite genres. Fourth in a series, but can be read on its own.

As the title says, "The Sequel" is an excellent Sequel to "The Plot".  You must read that first.  This picks up where the last book leaves off with more twisted twists.

I particularly enjoyed when the main character gets an author profile in the NYTimes, and that's exactly how I discovered the book.
funny informative mysterious medium-paced

Very interesting dive into the discovery of dinosaurs and other long extinct animals - and how scientists tried to rationalize Christian doctrine with what the science was telling them. Fascinating.

Historical fiction flashing between a current day grandmother/granddaughter pair and the grandmother's life in the 1950s. Family and relationships and obligations and love. I wanted the story to keep going
