It's interesting to learn how complex, deep, thriving and complicated indigenous American peoples were for hundreds (thousands?) of years before the invasion of Europeans.
The book is informative and interesting though the organization and cohesiveness is a bit harder to follow and stay engaged with.

Historical fiction, takes place in Philadelphia during the 1918 flu pandemic, released 100 years later, and before the covid pandemic took place. Although that's the backdrop, it's not the full story, which gets deeper and twists in a few ways I didn't expect. Enjoyed this a lot.

I've always found myself getting lost in books about time travel. This one takes place in 2005 when a Mammoth with a human wearing a wrist watch and holding a briefcase is uncovered in the ice of Northern Canada. The story goes forwards and backwards and I loved it.

Historical fiction is probably my favorite genre, and this book was an excellent example of it. Strong female lead who battles stereotypes, and gender biases. A young woman is taken in by a doctor-becomes his under study, and an anatomist, and adventure ensues.

Fun YA short novel. Part survivalist, part mystery, part historical fiction with its flash backs. I wish the story developed more.

An excellent recommendation from a friend - the story of a woman who was orphaned as a teen and then suddenly inherits an apartment in a very closely-knit building. This story is full of beautiful South Asian heritage, discovery, love and fear.

Political thriller taking place in "modern day" its a bit on the nose with the setup of a devisive power hungry right-wing former president and a new left leaning administration taking over. it's very weird that they made right wing radicals the villain of the book. A bit too political?

This book reminded me a bit of "Andromeda Strain" (lots of excerpts for logs and diaries) and "11/22/63" (dealing with time travel and the multiple threads of reality that are created). If you liked either of those, I think you'll like this.
