I don't often read graphic novels, so this may not be a fair review. The book was incredibly simplified and terse, and much of the nuance and detail obliterated. This was perfect for a clif notes version of a book I'd read before so I could read the 2nd novel, but not good if this was your only view into the story.

Really enjoyed this book and the two story lines that intertwine between early 1900s and early 2000s. Just wish a couple more of the story lines were more thoroughly tied off.
