This book was like a shock for me, there’s always something there, I love every second of it, it’s really a mix of emotions and sometimes you hate the characters.

Anne and Jennifer deserved better, people were really mean with them. Lyon is awful and Neely such a bad friend

“Love goes away when your mind goes away and then you're someone else.”

the main point of this book is to experience it instead of understanding it and well, most of the time I felt depressed or with the need to take a moment because I really felt uncomfortable reading it. After avoiding every uncomfortable feeling, you really start to experience the whole book, it literally proves every bad kind of relationship that a woman has through her life, the misconception of women’s identity and the sickness that you feel in the 146 pages (more or less) is the proof that Acker really knew how to do her job. She really knew how to do punk.

Despite all the religious and kind of misogynistic stuff (I mean all the stuff that they said about being a good wife, don’t share your feminine perspective), this book is amazing and really emotional.

I have two sisters and reading about a really strong bond between sisters, made me think about the special connection I have with my sisters and remind me that in this world there’s people who’s gonna help you and share with you all the love that they have as if they were part of your family.

I’ve enjoyed, cried, related and loved this book with all my heart, this book is for anyone who has an amazing and strong bond with their family, like a reminder that good things in life really happen no matter what.
