This is way different to the movie. You can tell it's aged because of some of the language used that would be considered slurs nowadays. For example, the antizigan slur gypped is used to mean stolen. If you can look past that though the book as a standalone piece of literature is acceptable.
It's fine, but tbh doesn't add much that a hardcore Oseman Stan wouldn't already know.
