Oh my god. I love this. As a gay adult, my teenage years would have been so much easier with something like this around. Brava, Alice Oseman. Brava.

I paid £2 for this and was still disappointed. It contains basically all of the tropes about poetry that make it feel inaccessible for anyone who isn't painfully middle class. The prose about the poets was actually okay, which was its saving grace.

I enjoyed this but it was one of those where basically everything happened right at the end, which would be fine if there were a resolution, but it's left vague.

I didn't care for this. The word choices are good, but the structure is very much not my cup of tea. It's quotable but the poems overall aren't amazing from start to finish, which very much leaves me feeling disappointed when considering the hype of Vuong.
This collection uses the word "fag" multiple times.

Fantastic. The structure wasn't what I'd normally choose which is why it's not five stars, but it's funny, it's sad, and it makes you angry at the injustices people face for wanting to be left alone. The author's tone is dry and sarcastic at times which cuts through the fact you hear a lot of transphobic abuse. It definitely makes you think and I'd highly recommend.

I really liked this. I thought the structure was a tad too irregular for my tastes but the imagery was beautiful and it had a wonderful rhythm to it.

Typically not a fan of things about royalty but this poetry pamphlet was actually really good.
