2nd half was better than the first. I liked the plot. Lots unrealistic and cringe but it entertained me & the found family was wholesome
Just ok - I liked the Bodyguard by this author more. For being a novel about rom coms, I wanted more flirtation or focus on the relationship. Also wish it went into what the novel they were writing together was about and how that progressed in parallel to Charlie & Emma’s relationship

2 stars for TJR exploring the complexity of stages of grief. Otherwise, this felt pretty anticlimactic and overly dramatized at the same time. I liked the mother-in-law alright but not main character
