I really tried. Desi high fantasy is not something you read everyday and I get that there might be tons of characters, settings etc., that needs to be absorb but if almost halfway and the slow burn ain't making sense... well. Have other books that needs my commitment and time

Time travelling magic! Yes! I felt like watching Jumper all over again but this time, reading it. Much like the author's bio suggests, the world building is really awesome. The nuances, the descriptives are just perfection. I felt like a coaster on the sidelines waiting for what is to come. The MCs fell a little flat for me at the end but overall an awesome debut novel

Flying ships and sky cities, what go wrong? This is a steampunk teen fantasy book that blends folklore and dystopian-esque vibes really well. What I like in fantasy the most is world building and this book didn't fell short with it. Truly a wonderful treat to experience.

Could've rated this a five if not for the ending that didn't bind well. Cliffhangers are fine especially for a series but there's a so called clincher ending that can jumpstart a reader in anticipating the next installment - didn't get it immediately here but the direction where it's heading sounds wonderful. Will I read the next one? Yes

I don't know why I put off reading this in the first place. It has all the elements of what works in epic, gritty and grimdark fantasy. The word and world building is just top notch. So easy to follow along. The complexity of the characters are deceivingly one dimensional but in truth, there are layers upon layers. The plot is just

Utterly amazing!

This was marketed as a gothic Peaky Blinders and I see it truly - the FMC [just love saying her last name Casimir, so badass] heads a tea room by day called Spindrift and bloodhouse by night. Aided by a loyal friend, Jin [imagining Kim Seokjin as a fancast at this point], a mysterious Horned Guard named Laithe and a sly forger named Flick [well, Lady Felicity as a noble name]. Banded together to steal a ledger that can bring the monarchy down.

This rag tag of heroes really caught my heart. Each have their own reason for agreeing. Each have their own past to overcome. Reminds me of the Six of Crows gang too honestly.

I haven't read the duology of Sands of Arawiya yet but I read somewhere that it is set on the same world so this just makes me excited to read more of the author.

Just when you thought you have experienced all fantasy timelines and world buildings, you get to discover more!

First half, I was so darn confused but engagingly so. I can't stop flicking to the next page to find the connections. Glad I didn't stop cause the second half is just one transition to the other. I felt like I was coasting from one scene to the next. So exciting! Can't wait for the sequel

When I first read the prequel, Godhunter, I was immediately drawn to the MC Bryony because of how beautifully unhinged she was

Well.. i didn't expect a lot of the things that happened here. And I am not complaining
