This is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel tackling gender identity, sexuality,  and found family at a ripening age. I loved the community, culture,  and togetherness that was expressed in the story. 

This felt very real. Hit close, like another nail in the coffin. Thompson has written a book about what it is to be us, to be human, to love and to grieve. Honestly it left me feeling like it's all worth it. 

This was so beautifully done. It had me contemplating a lot of things. It was surprising in many ways-giving me chills, making me blush, bringing tears to my eyes and making me laugh at the same time. I sincerely look forward to what Oliveira decides to do after this.

I don't think I've loved a set of characters and their complex dynamics this much in quite some time. Ana and Din were perfection in my eyes! A perfect Holmes/Watson duo in a fantasy world in deed. The writing, mystery, and world had me captured...I don't know that I'm ready to leave it, nor do I think I am willing to muster any patience for the second book to arrive....I mean...is it here yet?
